Paul Clark

Paul Clark has an extensive work experience history. Paul is currently working as the Partnerships Director at Smart DCC since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Policy and Markets Director at Passiv UK from September 2020 to September 2022. Paul also held the position of Group Head of Policy at Centrica from June 2016 to September 2020. Before that, they worked as the Head of Public Affairs and Policy at British Gas from March 2015 to June 2016. Paul also had roles at EDF Energy, where they served as the Strategy Manager in the Group Strategy department from February 2013 to March 2015, and as the Acting Head of Public Affairs and Senior Public Affairs Manager from December 2011 to November 2012 and January 2010 to November 2011, respectively. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Policy Manager at the Association of British Insurers from August 2006 to December 2009, a Private Secretary to the Leader of the House of Lords at the UK House of Lords from November 2004 to August 2006, a Junior Manager in the Private Office at the Office of Fair Trading from January 2004 to November 2004, and as a Case Manager at the Ministry of Justice UK in 2003.

Paul Clark earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) 1st Class Hons degree in English with History and Economics from Lancaster University from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1998, they attended St Edward's School in Cheltenham, where they obtained 4 A Levels and 1 S Level in Economics, History, English, and General Studies. Later, in 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Language and Literature, General at Lancaster University. In 2007 to 2008, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Affairs from CIPR.
