Jing Xie

Jing Xie has an extensive background in business development, finance, and technology. Jing began their career in 2007 as an Intern in Commercial Supply & Trading at ConocoPhillips. Jing then interned at Deloitte in Audit & Assurance Services, and at IBM in Sales & Distribution. In 2008, they joined IBM as a Financial Analyst, and was later promoted to Senior Financial Analyst. In 2009, they were promoted again to Senior Business Development Executive, where they developed the business case, drove the negotiation, and executed several multi-million dollar strategic deals. In 2017, they became a Consultant in Finance and Technology, where they led the operations of a long/short family office investment fund and provided deep due diligence, financial analysis, and research services on publicly listed equities. In 2019, they were brought in by the largest investor and board of Formulus Black as the Chief Operating Officer to lead the restructuring and turnaround of an early-stage software company. In 2021, they joined Verizon as a Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Executive, where they led the corporate strategy for how Verizon Business and leading System Integrators conceptualize, co-innovate, and commercialize 5G/MEC solutions. Currently, they are the Director of Cloud Business Development and Alliances at MemVerge.

Jing Xie attended the University of Houston from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance from the C.T. Bauer College of Business. In 2017, they obtained an IBM Watson Data Platform Foundations certification from IBM.
