Sean McAninly

Sean McAninly has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sean started their career as an IT & Telecoms Associate at Pinsent Masons in 2004 and worked there until 2013. In 2010, they had a secondee role at Nokia Siemens Networks for a year. From 2014 to 2018, Sean served as the Managing Director at Tech City Law. Their most recent position is at Smart DCC, where they began as a Senior Legal Counsel in 2018 and now holds the position of Head Of Legal since March 2019.

Sean McAninly completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law at the University of Birmingham from 2000 to 2003. Sean then pursued their Legal Practice Course at The University of Law from 2003 to 2004. In 2017, Sean obtained a Certificate in Data Protection Law and Practice from the Irish Law Society. From 2017 to 2024, they are enrolled in a part-time Master of Laws (LLM) program at Queen Mary University of London, specializing in Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law. Before their university education, Sean attended St Robert of Newminster Catholic School and Sixth Form College, although the dates and degrees obtained from this institution are unavailable.
