Stephen Chawke

Stephen Chawke has extensive experience in internal communications and employee engagement. Stephen is currently the Head of Internal Communications at Smart DCC, where they lead the internal comms and employee engagement function. Prior to this, they founded their own consultancy, Dalton Garratt Limited, where they worked as an independent comms and engagement specialist for two years, focusing on transformation and change projects. Stephen also has previous experience at Centrica and British Gas, where they held various senior communications roles, including IC Business Partner and Head of Internal Comms. In these roles, they were responsible for creating and delivering communications strategies, managing project timelines, and ensuring effective collaboration in matrix organizations. Earlier in their career, Stephen worked as a Public Relations Manager at Centrica, where they managed campaigns and media inquiries for various brands. Stephen has advanced media training and broadcast experience.

Stephen Chawke attended the University of Leeds from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Their studies focused on the fields of Psychology and Media.
