Emily Sanford Fisher is the Chief Strategy Officer at Smart Electric Power Alliance since July 2024. Previously, extensive experience at Edison Electric Institute spanned from June 2008 to July 2024, where roles included Executive Vice President for Clean Energy, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, Senior Vice President for Clean Energy, Vice President of Law, Deputy General Counsel for Energy and Climate, and Associate General Counsel for Energy and Environment. Earlier in the career, Emily served as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State from July 2002 to August 2006. Emily holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a degree in International Affairs with a focus on Economics and Development from The George Washington University.
