Adam MacDonald

Lead Engineer, Project Manager at Smart Skin Technologies

Adam MacDonald has a diverse work experience in the software and engineering field. Adam is the Founder of OneZero Software, where they developed Fluidix, a software platform for particle-based simulation using GPUs. In this role, they focused on providing a flexible and high-performance simulation model for researchers, engineers, and visual artists.

At Smart Skin Technologies, Adam served as the Lead Engineer and Project Manager. Adam was responsible for developing a hardware/software system for pressure mapping and motion tracking prototypes. Adam also conducted research on pressure-sensitive materials, data analysis, and visualization.

Adam worked as a Consultant for Thermtest Inc., Envenio Inc., and Inversa Systems Ltd. During their time at these companies, they provided expertise and guidance in various projects related to software development and consulting.

Additionally, Adam gained experience as a Software Developer and Project Manager at the University of New Brunswick, where they focused on software development projects. Adam also worked as a Software Developer at Simulogic Inc.

Adam began their career as a Research Assistant at Saint Francis Xavier University, where they developed visualization tools and parallel simulation software for modeling biological systems, with a focus on bacterial flow and surface interactions. It was during this time that they initially developed Fluidix.

Adam MacDonald has a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. Adam holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they obtained from 2008 to 2009.
