Isabel Chan

Isabel Chan's work experience begins in 2012 with their role as a Credit Counselor at BALANCE, where they helped clients with debt management plans, financial goal-setting, and budgeting. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Housing & Loss Mitigation Counselor, assisting clients in the mortgage industry with loan modifications, forbearances, and other hardship programs.

In 2016, Isabel joined SmartBiz as a Sr. Relationship Manager, where they managed a substantial portfolio of SBA 7A loan applications, underwriting small business loans and analyzing financial documents. Isabel transitioned to the role of Lending Manager in 2017, overseeing the activities and pipeline of Relationship Managers to ensure efficient loan processing, underwriting, and closing. Isabel also utilized Tableau reports and KPIs to identify trends and improve loan conversion.

In 2020, Isabel was promoted to the role of Sr. Manager, Funding Operations, responsible for managing the funding operations team. Currently, Isabel holds the position of Director of Funding Operations at SmartBiz, where they continue to contribute their expertise in loan processing and management.

Isabel Chan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2012.
