Jennifer Thatcher O'Reilly

Jennifer Thatcher O'Reilly has a diverse and extensive work experience. Currently, they are the Chief Risk Officer at SmartBiz, a position they have held since May 2023. Before joining SmartBiz, Jennifer worked at First Republic Bank as Vice President, Operations Risk and Compliance from May 2022 to May 2023. Prior to that, they were involved in Enterprise Risk Management at the same bank from February 2016 to June 2022.

Jennifer also held key positions at Union Bank, where they served as Managing Director, Enterprise Risk from July 2012 to February 2016, and as SVP, Senior Audit Manager from August 2010 to July 2012. Jennifer worked as SVP, Basel II Program Manager at Bank of the West from August 2009 to August 2010.

Jennifer's career began at Bank of California as an Assistant Vice President from September 1988 to February 1991. Jennifer then worked at The Wyatt Company as a Plan Administrator from 1992 to 1993, and at Western Pension as Vice President from 1993 to 1998. Before joining the banking industry, Jennifer gained experience at Ceridian as a General Manager from 1998 to 2002.

Furthermore, Jennifer occupied significant roles at Charles Schwab, including Vice President from December 2006 to December 2008, where they led the centralized Operational Risk Control organization. Prior to that, they served as Director from June 2002 to November 2006, overseeing audit team for the Corporate Services Enterprise.

Throughout their career, Jennifer has demonstrated expertise in risk management, operations, compliance, and audit.

Jennifer Thatcher O'Reilly attended the University of California, Davis from 1983 to 1988. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Physical Education, which they successfully completed. In terms of additional certifications, in January 2019, Jennifer obtained the Certified Enterprise Risk Professional certification from the American Bankers Association.
