Matteo Dante Perruccio

Matteo Dante Perruccio is a venture capitalist and the current president of International at SmartCapital. Matteo has over fifteen years of experience in the financial industry, starting their career at Jupiter Asset Management where they worked for four years before moving on to Hermes Investment Management. At Hermes, Perruccio was the CEO and founding partner and was able to secure seed capital from British Telecom Pension Scheme to launch an Alternative hedge fund multimangement advisory boutique. After Hermes, Perruccio took on various senior advisor roles at different companies until they became the President International & Shareholder at Wave Financial. There, they helped grow the digital asset ecosystem by offering early-stage blockchain VC investment funds and digital/crypto asset management. Most recently, Perruccio has taken on the role of President at SmartCapital where they continue to invest in early-stage companies and help them grow.

Matteo Dante Perruccio has a post graduate degree from Università degli Studi di Siena in Italian Renaissance Literature, which they received in 1986. Matteo also has a dual bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in International Affairs & Government and Italian Literature, which they received in 1984. Lastly, they have a Master of Arts from the American University School of International Service.
