Chris Farrier

Chris Farrier has extensive experience in finance and management roles. In 2000, they started as a Business Analyst at Lafarge North America, where they conducted economic analysis on capital expenditure requests and performed cost variance analysis. Chris later joined Smarte Carte in 2005, initially as a Financial Analyst, before becoming the Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis. During their time at Smarte Carte, Chris managed accounting for multiple private equity deals and successfully implemented an enterprise resource planning system. In 2018, they joined JP Ecommerce Inc as the CFO, responsible for managing supply chain, IT, and HR resources, achieving sales tax compliance in multiple states, and building banking relationships. Chris returned to Smarte Carte in 2022 as the Senior Director of Finance.

Chris Farrier earned an MBA degree with a dual focus on Leadership & Manufacturing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended St. Cloud State University - Herberger Business School from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Information Systems. In addition to their educational background, Chris Farrier also holds the certification of CPA (Inactive) obtained from the MN Board of Accountancy in August 2005.
