Victoria Bacon

Victoria Bacon has a diverse work experience in communications and PR. Victoria is currently serving as the Director of Communications at Smart Energy GB since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant in corporate communications and PR, management consulting, and corporate affairs consulting from February 2021 to November 2021. Victoria also took a sabbatical in 2020. Earlier, they held positions such as the Director of Communications, Brand, and Business Development at ABTA from March 2015 to June 2020, Director of Communications at London First from October 2014 to February 2015, and Head of Communications at ABTA - The Travel Association from January 2011 to October 2014. Before that, they worked as the Head of Group Communications at Future plc from June 2007 to December 2010 and as the Head of Communications, Supply & Trading at BP from July 2005 to June 2007. Victoria started their career as a Communications Manager at Kimberly-Clark from June 2002 to June 2005. Victoria had an early role as a Communications Consultant from September 2001 to June 2002.

Victoria Bacon earned a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Leeds from 1991 to 1994. Victoria then went on to obtain an M.Sc in Public Relations from the University of Stirling, completing their studies from 1995 to 1996. Additionally, Victoria achieved a Master of Science - MS degree in Public Relations from the University of Stirling, although the specific duration of this degree is unknown.
