Amirali Shamsolhodaei

Amirali Shamsolhodaei is a highly experienced materials specialist currently serving as a Senior Materials Specialist at Smarter Alloys since April 2022. Prior to this role, Amirali held positions at the University of Waterloo, including Laboratory Manager for Medical Material Processing and Shape Memory Materials Lab, where responsibilities included maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced laboratory equipment. As a Graduate Research Assistant, collaboration with Baylis Medical Company focused on surface contamination studies and mechanical analysis of guidewires. Previous experience includes a Technical Expert role at Tehran Sufa Manufacturer of Petroleum Valves Co., where Amirali designed and modified industrial valves, and various research and technical positions during graduate studies at the University of Tehran and Iran University of Science and Technology. Amirali holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Tehran and Iran University of Science and Technology, respectively.
