Stefan Steiner

Stefan Steiner has over 20 years of experience in software engineering. Stefan is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Smarter Ecommerce (smec), where they started in February 2020. Prior to that, Stefan worked at Micro Focus for 11 years, holding the positions of Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Micro Focus, they played a key role in shaping the renowned test automation tool Silk Test, using languages such as Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Before Micro Focus, Stefan gained experience as a Software Engineer at Borland Software, EV Group, and Wolf OEG. Stefan also completed a professional internship at FH-Oberösterreich F&E GmbH. Throughout their career, Stefan has consistently contributed to software development and worked in agile, international teams.

Stefan Steiner attended HTL Braunau am Inn from 1995 to 2000, where they studied Technische Informatik and Elektronik. Following this, from 2002 to 2006, they pursued their higher education at Hagenberg Campus - FH Upper Austria, where they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Software Engineering für Medizin.
