Shana McCoy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 1994, they worked at Winter Park Resort as part of the Group Sales division, handling reservations for large groups and special organizations. From 2000 to 2001, they worked at Empire Funding in a collections role. Shana then moved on to the Austin American Statesman, where they held multiple positions, including Sales Assistant, System Administrator, System Administrator/Marketing Coordinator, and Traffic Manager. In these roles, they managed advertising projects, coordinated marketing campaigns, maintained tracking reports, and served as the primary contact for content vendors. From 2005 to 2013, Shana co-owned Dead Bunny Music, where they planned and executed music events, secured sponsorships, and negotiated contracts. Shana then joined Ford Audio Video as a Marketing Coordinator, working closely with the Director of Marketing to create marketing initiatives and manage accounts with AV manufacturers. Currently, Shana is working at Smarter Security as the Marketing Director, overseeing marketing strategies and supporting the sales staff.

Shana McCoy completed their education in a chronological order. Shana first attended Rose State College from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained an associate's degree in Art. After that, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Two-Dimensional Design Art at the University of Oklahoma from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Shana McCoy has also earned several certifications. In September 2022, they obtained the Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy. In August 2022, they obtained certifications in HubSpot Marketing Software and HubSpot Sales Software, also from HubSpot Academy.
