Yiming Wang

Yiming Wang is an experienced energy trader currently working at SmartestEnergy since July 2023, focusing on proprietary trading in the GB short-term power and gas markets and managing positions in renewable asset re-forecasting. Previously, Yiming served as a power trader at Noriker Power Ltd from May 2022 to June 2023, concentrating on asset-backed trading for battery energy storage systems in the UK. Yiming's earlier experience includes a quantitative trading internship at Shenwan Hongyuan Securities Co., Ltd., where research on CTA strategies in the commodity futures market was conducted, and a role as a senior electronic systems engineer at ZF Group, developing electronic architectures for advanced power steering systems.
