Hambardzum Kaghketsyan

Hambardzum Kaghketsyan is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor, currently serving as the Founder and Partner of SmartGateVC, an angel-stage venture capital fund specializing in AI, Security, Computational Biology, Robotics, and IoT companies in the US and Eastern Europe. Kaghketsyan co-founded and served as CEO of Draper X, successfully onboarding over 80 family offices. As an educator, Kaghketsyan taught a startup culture course at the American University of Armenia, where two of the five teams formed generated revenue by the course's conclusion. Kaghketsyan has also held leadership roles such as Director of Technology at the Russian-Armenian University, where strategic changes were implemented, and as a Regulatory Specialist at both the World Bank Group and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, contributing to significant regulatory reforms. Kaghketsyan holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the Russian-Armenian University and further education from Draper University.
