Arun Narayanaswamy has been in the tech industry since 1994 when they began working as a freelancer and entrepreneur. In 1996, they worked as a Software Engineer and Lead at SRA Systems, where they led the development of the Sales transaction module of the first PC based Point-of-Sale product in Japan. Arun then worked at Exchange Applications from 1999 to 2002 as a Technical Lead, developing and maintaining the flagship Outbound marketing (CRM) product VALEX. From 2002 to 2007, they worked at EMC Corporation as a Senior Manager of Software Development. Arun then moved to RSA The Security Division of EMC as a Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering, where they were the Site Manager for the Information & Event Management Group. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at [24]7 Inc as a Senior Director of Engineering, and at VMware as a Senior Director of R&D, where they built and led a highly-talented and globally distributed engineering team to develop and launch VMware's first IoT Product - Pulse IoT Center. Most recently, they have worked at SmartHub.ai as a Co-Founder since 2020.

Arun Narayanaswamy's education history includes a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Madras (1993-1996), an MS in Computer Science from Boston University (2000-2002), a Customized Program in Usage of Analytics (Machine Learning & Data Mining) for Pattern Recognition & Anomaly Detection from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) (2010-2011), an EGMP in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (2007), and Piano Grade 2 and 3 - Musical Performance from Trinity College London (2019-2021). Arun also holds a Team4Tech Fellow certification from 2020, a Team4Tech Fellow certification from 2019, and an MIT Professional Education Digital Programs Honor Code Certificate for Internet of Things: Roadmap to a Connected World from edX (2016).
