Kaloyan (Kal) Petrov

Kaloyan (Kal) Petrov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2010, they worked as a Team Lead/Inspector at Delta Guard Ltd. From 2012 to 2014, they served as an IT & Administration Coordinator at Eli Lilly and Company, where they coordinated administrative work for a team of over 20 Ph.D. professionals. At GSK, from 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer, designing and building native applications for iOS platforms. From 2016 to 2018, Kaloyan worked at Schwarz IT Bulgaria, starting as a Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Software Engineering Manager and then Head of Engineering. At anyoption, they served as an iOS Engineer in 2016, building advanced features for the company's iOS platform. From 2017 onwards, Kaloyan co-founded Omnipotent Growth, a company in which they held a role as Co-Founder. At SMSBump Text Marketing and Automation, they worked as the Head of R&D (Group Manager) from 2021 to 2022, responsible for the company's R&D vision and implementing growth plans. Currently, they hold the positions of Director of Engineering at Smart IT - Smart Innovative Technologies and Vice President & CTO at the Bulgarian Armwrestling Federation.

Kaloyan (Kal) Petrov's education history is as follows:

Kaloyan received their Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the American University in Bulgaria, attending from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained the Erickson Professional Coach certification from Erickson Coaching International in 2019.

In 2012, Kaloyan completed their Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia. Kaloyan (Kal) had previously earned their Bachelor's Degree in Automation and Information Technologies from the same institution, graduating in 2012. Before entering university, they attended the Sofia Vocational High School of Electronics "John Atanasoff" from 2004 to 2008, where they completed their high school education with a focus on "Microprocessor systems."

Additionally, Kaloyan has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Notably, they have been certified in Executive Leadership and Software Architecture: Domain-Driven Design from LinkedIn in 2020. In 2019, they obtained the Erickson Professional Coach (EPC) certification from Erickson Coaching International, as well as certifications in Pricing Strategy from AUBG EMBA and Training for Trainers- Standing in contribution from Erickson Coaching International. In 2018, they completed the Project Management Professional (PMP) Preparation Course from ITCE and in 2017, they received the Advanced Situational Leadership certification from OD&M Consulting. Furthermore, they have certifications in Git Real from Code School and SCRUM CERTIFICATION FOR MOBILE APP DEVELOPER from the International Scrum Institute™, both obtained in 2016. Lastly, in 2008, they obtained a Certificate of Achievement - B2 Vantage level of English from Europe Schools.
