Rob Britton has helped SmartKargo with marketing, communications, and business development since 2014. He has spent his entire working life, more than 50 years, in and near the airline industry, including 22 years with American Airlines in a range of leadership positions in marketing, international affairs, and operations. Rob holds a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Minnesota, and a postdoctoral certificate from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). Originally a geography lecturer, he is now an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and Imperial College London, and an annual guest lecturer at more than 25 business schools worldwide, including Yale, McGill, and the University of Zurich. He has published more than 150 articles in popular media, the airline- and travel-industry publications, and academic journals, most recently in MIT Sloan Management Review.
