Alex Yanishevsky

Alex Yanishevsky has a strong background in AI and machine translation solutions. Alex currently holds the position of Director of AI and MT Solutions at Smartling since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Welocalize from 2011-2023, where they held various roles including Director of AI Deployments, Senior Manager of Solutions Architects, and Senior Solutions Architect. Before joining Welocalize, Alex worked at PROMT as a Senior Solutions Architect from 2008-2011. Alex also has extensive experience at COMSYS/Venturi/InfoTech, where they served as a Senior Globalization Technology Manager from 1999-2008. Early in their career, they worked as a Localization Specialist at SolidWorks from 1998-2000.

Alex Yanishevsky has a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Brown University. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Economics and Art History from Brandeis University. Currently, Alex is enrolled in the Data Science for Executives Certificate Program at Columbia University.
