Andrea Canidio is a Senior Research Economist at CoW Protocol since May 2023, focusing on mechanism design, game theory, and the economics of blockchain protocols, particularly in decentralized finance. Andrea has served as a Research Associate at the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies since September 2021 and as a Mentor at Antler since October 2022. Previously, Andrea was an Assistant Professor at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca from June 2017 to June 2023 and held positions as Fellow of the Stone Research Center and Visiting Assistant Professor at INSEAD from January 2015 to August 2020, primarily teaching Game Theory to MBA students. Earlier academic positions include Assistant Professor at Central European University from September 2010 to June 2015, where Andrea designed and taught courses in Microeconomic Theory and Development Economics and advised doctoral students. Andrea earned a PhD in Economics from Boston University (2005-2010) and holds multiple degrees from Università Bocconi and Accademia Internazionale di Musica di Milano, combining expertise in economics and music.
