Cesar Villanueva

Cesar Villanueva has been with Smartmatic since June 2007, currently serving as the Technology Deployment Infrastructure and Information Security Associate Manager. Throughout their career at Smartmatic, Cesar has held various positions including Infrastructure Master Specialist and Infrastructure Senior Engineer, focusing on standardizing service offerings, providing expert opinions, and designing technology solutions for clients. Prior to Smartmatic, Cesar worked as a Consultant & Training Manager at Consultores Micorp C.A., and as VP of Operation & Research at SuSE Linux de Venezuela C.A., overseeing daily operations and financial reporting. Additionally, as a founding member of the Venezuelan Linux User Group, Cesar has advocated for Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) technologies. Cesar holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Universidad Simón Bolívar, earned between 1980 and 1989.
