Francesco Alessi

Francesco Alessi is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in hardware engineering, biomedical and clinical engineering, and firmware development. Currently serving as the Chief of Hardware Engineering, Production and Supply Chain at smartme.IO since July 2017, Francesco also holds the position of Chairman of the Group of Biomedical and Clinical Engineering at Ordine degli Ingegneri di Messina since October 2010. Previously, Francesco led the Firmware and Library development Team at Arduino.org from November 2014 to June 2017 and was the owner of Alessi Engineering from July 2009 to September 2016. Additional experience includes a role as Chief Engineer at Winch Energy Engineering from December 2010 to December 2011 and as a Designer & After Sales Service Engineer at Rodriquez Marine System from 2005 to July 2009. Francesco holds a degree in Micro-Opto Electronics from the University of Messina.
