Joseph Maramba Weyao has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Joseph began their career as a freelance Frontend Developer for Upwork. In 2015, they worked as an Information Technology Consultant at USAID/AfyaInfo, where they trained Kenyan health workers on ICT usage in the health sector and supported the implementation of ICT systems in hospitals.

Joseph then worked as a Computer Science Intern at USAID/AfyaInfo in 2016. In 2017, they served as a Constituency ICT Clerk for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, providing ICT support during the Kenya General Elections.

From 2018 to 2021, Joseph held a Senior Research Analyst position at Wonder (AskWonder.com), conducting research. Joseph also worked as a Computer Science Tutor at Chegg Inc., tutoring students in computer science subjects.

In 2019, Joseph worked as an ICT Supervisor for the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, providing technical support to supervisors and enumerators during the census enumeration. Joseph also served as a Technical Support Specialist at The Open Languages Project from 2013 to 2019, maintaining the company's WordPress website and assisting colleagues on technical matters.

Currently, Joseph is a Frontend Engineer at Smartmile starting from 2022. In summary, Joseph has gained expertise in frontend development, research analysis, tutoring, technical support, and ICT project management throughout their work experience.

Joseph Maramba Weyao attended St Mary's High School Kibabii from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained their High School diploma. Joseph then went on to study at the University of Nairobi from 2013 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Software Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Joseph has obtained several certifications. In June 2021, they completed a certification in Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp. Joseph has also earned various certifications from LinkedIn and HackerRank. In April 2022, Joseph completed certifications in Building RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express, Express Essential Training, Learning Node.js, Learning npm the Node Package Manager, and Node.js Essential Training, all from LinkedIn. In January 2023, they obtained certifications in CSS and React Basics from HackerRank. Furthermore, in April 2023, they completed HTTP Essential Training from LinkedIn.
