Cædman Oakley

Cædman 'Cads' Oakley is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and infrastructure management. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering, Infrastructure at SmartNews since February 2024, Cædman has previously held leadership roles at Fluxx, where responsibilities included Senior Director of Security, Compliance & Privacy and Head of Platform, and at Castlight Health as Head of Resilience Engineering, overseeing substantial operational budgets and implementing strategic migrations to cloud infrastructure. Cædman's career spans various companies, including DAQRI, Ooyala, Symantec, and Microsoft, with a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency, leading cross-functional teams, and driving significant cost reductions in cloud spending. Cædman holds a BA (Hons) in Computational Linguistics from the University of Southampton and a D.E.U.G in Lettres Modernes from Universite de Pau et le Pays de l'Adour.
