Paul Mattingley is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer currently employed at Smartnumbers since 2021, focusing on developing production systems to identify spoofing and fraudulent behavior in call data. Prior experience includes a tenure at AgSpace Agriculture Ltd as a Senior Software Developer and Team Lead, overseeing a team in creating backend Python projects for agricultural decision-making tools. Additional roles include Senior Software Developer positions at JBA Consulting, where flood forecasting systems were developed, and at a Major Defense Contractor, where scientific software was delivered. Earlier, Paul served as a Mathematical Modeller at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, developing flood forecasting models, and began a career as a Consequence Modeller with a graduate scheme in a Major Defense Contractor. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
