Sara Chan

Sara Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sara started their career as a Senior Human Resources Advisor at Rothmans Asia Region in 1996. Sara then moved on to British American Tobacco in 1999, where they served as the Human Resources Development Manager for the Asia Pacific North Region. Sara later became the Human Resources Director at British American Tobacco Thailand, holding the position from 2000 to 2006. In 2008, they joined Metro Jinjiang Cash & Carry Ltd. as the Head of HR. Sara then worked at State Street from 2011 to 2017, initially serving as the Vice President & Human Resources Director before taking on the role of Vice President, Senior Business Partner & APAC Head of Employee Relations. In 2016, they became the Managing Director, APAC Head of Total Reward & Employee Relations at State Street. Currently, they are the Head of Human Resources & Administration at SmarTone, a position they have held since 2018.

Sara Chan completed their Bachelor of Business Management with a specialization in Human Resources management from the University of Southern Queensland between 1989 and 1992.
