Brian Carlson

Brian Carlson has extensive work experience in various roles related to strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and enterprise implementation. Brian is currently working as the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Smart Source, LLC since May 2021. Before joining Smart Source, LLC, Brian served as the Vice President of Supply Chain at SupplyLogic, LLC from March 2020 to April 2021. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at InnerWorkings, including Vice President of Enterprise Accounts from April 2018 to February 2020, Director of Strategic Sourcing from August 2015 to April 2018, and Director of Enterprise Implementation from January 2007 to August 2015. Brian also worked as a Senior Manager of Print Category Solutions at A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions from April 2004 to January 2007. Earlier in their career, they were a Process Reengineering Manager at Emerson Electric from January 2002 to April 2004, a Senior Associate at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants from July 2000 to January 2002, and a Consultant at Accenture from July 1995 to July 1998.

Brian Carlson earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering & Public Policy, with a concentration in Chemical Engineering, from Washington University in St. Louis. Brian attended the university from 1991 to 1995. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Olin Business School, also located at Washington University in St. Louis, where their focus was on Operations and Strategy.
