Charles Wineland

Charles Wineland is the General Counsel for Smartz. Charles began his legal career nearly 15 years ago practicing patent and intellectual property law, and has gradually expanded and broadened his practice as he has transformed from an IP attorney into the corporate generalist he is today. After graduating from law school, Charles worked for four years as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. From there, he moved in-house as corporate counsel of a Fortune 500 company and has most recently served as General Counsel for meShare, Inc. for the past three years. Charles graduated with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan, and with a JD, Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
