Nilay Sanghrajka

Nilay Sanghrajka has been working in the software engineering and testing industry since 2015. In that time, they have held a variety of roles with various companies.

At Smartzer since 2021, Nilay has been a QA Engineer responsible for in-house testing of the Smartzer player and editor. Nilay has also done manual end-to-end testing of recorded and Livestream videos on various types of devices, browsers, operating systems, and mobile and tablet testing of a vast range with the help of BrowserStack. Nilay has also tested APIs and confirmed the data that is pulled syncs well to the system.

At QA Consulting in 2020, Nilay was a Software Developer In Test. Nilay used a range of different technologies to create a working inventory-management system capable of tracking & manipulating customer’s information, orders details and item data on the cloud. Nilay used a GCP to host a MySQL database and developed a CI pipeline ran by Jenkins and included Java code to run the processes with Junit and Mockito as unit tests whilst SonarQube improved the code base quality.

At Qualitest in 2018, Nilay was a Software Test Consultant. Nilay interfaced with a diverse range of new software testing materials to ascertain user-friendly functions for Shadowbrook Bank’s Broker hub and Bluechip System. Nilay also collaborated with the client to ascertain the alignment of objectives and specifications. Additionally, they tested a new version of the Broker Hub created by the external team using Postman.

At Capgemini from 2015-2018, Nilay held a variety of roles. As a Software Engineer, they led software testing for the Human Resources system developed using SAP SuccessFactors platforms to clear bugs and develop user ability. Nilay also oversaw White Box testing to transform original software into a personalized system that met the client’s needs and specifications. As a Manual Black Box Tester for Burberry, they cooperated with the client in delivering specific testing to ensure user-friendly software and developed a simple step-by-step user guide for unexperienced users that had no previous understanding of system. As the RFC Manager for Unilever, they supervised and streamlined tokenisation operations with an offshore team based in India and analysed and reviewed financial sheets for different levels of encryption to approve tokenisation. Nilay also ascertained that the tokenized information was correct, following approved details and format. Lastly, as the Pentaho Developer and Automated White Box Tester for HMRC, they played a key role in software testing for two HMRC projects, one with 84 CR Scottish Tax Department, and another with Data Acquisition EDH. Nilay developed Pentaho scripts using Shell Scripting to tokenise Excel or Text Files into SQL database. Nilay also ascertained correct confirmation of jobs and safely uploaded them to the Git Repository.

Nilay Sanghrajka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham between 2010 and 2013. Nilay has also obtained several certifications, such as an Advanced Java Programming certification from QA Ltd in February 2021, a Foundation Certificate in Cyber Security from QA Ltd in February 2021, an ITIL 4 Foundation Certification in IT Service Management from QA Ltd in February 2021, a Certified Developer – Associate Certification Preparation for AWS from QA Ltd in November 2020, an AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Preparation from QA Ltd in October 2020, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2021.
