SMASH
Alberto Morales is currently serving as a Low-No Code Engineer Intern at Lirvana Labs since October 2023, where responsibilities include Grant and Award Applications. As a Scholar at SMASH since July 2022, Alberto is engaged in a three-year STEM-intensive college prep program, has completed a two-week residential program at Stanford University, and participates in various STEM-related classes. Additionally, as a Scholar at Breakthrough Collaborative since June 2019, Alberto has been involved in programs designed for first-generation college-going students. Participation in the Stanford Engineering Immersion Program occurred from January to June 2023. At Abraham Lincoln High School, where enrollment spans from 2021 to 2025, Alberto was a Coder on the robotics team, emphasizing the importance of STEM education in developing critical thinking and employability skills.

SMASH provides an intensive and holistic computer science-focused education to dedicated students of color who seek equal access to college and career readiness resources. Our mission is to build a strong, diverse and socially conscious tech workforce by leveling the playing field through academic learning and experiential engagement for high school and college students. SMASH’s two leading programs are: - SMASH Residential, our flagship program, provides high school students across the nation with a tuition-free, residential educational experience for each of their three summers during high school. With programs at 5 campuses, SMASH Residential works to ensure that Scholars have the computer science knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in college and beyond. - SMASH Virtual is an online platform that provides students early exposure to CS/emerging technology topics and career professionals.
