Vivek Sharma

Vivek Sharma is Software Architect and Lead software developer at SMA Inc. He has more than ten years of experience in software development. Since joining SMA in 2016, Vivek has helped develop SMA’s Talent On Demand (TOD)® platform from concept to implementation.

His responsibilities include: architecting applications from existing detail designs and prototypes; translating application storyboards and use cases into functional applications; designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code; ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications; identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems; communicating effectively with both tech savvy and non-tech members of the product team on programming options; and helping to maintain code quality, organization (DevOps), and automation (CI/CD).

Before joining SMA, Vivek worked as a backend developer at SynTouch, Inc., and a backend developer at the University of Southern California. Prior to coming to the United States, he worked at Infosys in Bangalore, India, on a number of projects including: horizon and migration from traction services for Diageo; account payable tools for Westpac and the Macquarie Group; and a workflow tool for John Deere.
