Rosemary Thompson has been at S&ME since 1997, guiding the company through four President/CEO changes, employee growth from 300 in 1992 to almost 1200 in 2017, and expansions and acquisitions that have resulted in considerable growth in employees and services. She has over 30 years of experience leading people since 1983 and since 1994 has held many key senior leadership positions within the firm. Her primary responsibilities today are to provide leadership and strategic direction while prioritizing our strengths and opportunities for employee engagement.
“Our People Come First,” has been a hallmark of Rosemary’s leadership. Her commitment originates from a belief that for the employee-owned company to be successful we must make people first. By making our people first, they are asked to make customers first by providing quality services that result in a successful company. She currently is Chair of the company’s Employee Development Strategic Goal that conveys a commitment to offer fulfilling and valued career paths for all employees and empowers employees to reach their career potential with the support of training and development opportunities. The commitment to making employees first is an unconditional element of her and our company’s culture. To that end, she has implemented and supported initiatives that have resulted in S&ME being a preferred employer in the industry.
A graduate of Milligan College with a bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Rosemary is a certified professional human resources (PHR) and SHRM certified professional (SHRM-CP), which are globally recognized certifications for human resource professionals.
