Robert Himes

Robert Himes is an experienced engineering professional with a background in mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Aerial Engineer at Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. since 2016, Robert has developed expertise in aerial apparatus design. Prior to this role, Robert worked at Joy Global Inc. from 2000 to 2016, contributing significantly to the design and development of various underground mining equipment including several Continuous Miners and Entry Development Miners. Earlier experience includes an engineering internship at GE/OEC Medical Systems Inc. in 1999, where Robert assisted in the design and testing of medical imaging equipment. Robert holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
