Alex Hurst is an accomplished customer experience and success leader with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Customer Experience for North America at Smile.io since August 2025, Alex previously held the role of Head of Customer Success & Support at CurrentWare Inc., where responsibilities included driving retention and managing the customer lifecycle. Prior experience at Shopify encompassed roles such as Product Research Lead and Sr. Lead of Support Operations, during which Alex built and managed a large global support team while navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic. Alex's earlier ventures include founding Flagship Branding and co-founding Import Beer Club. Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
