Javid Movsumov

Javid Movsumov has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Javid started their career in 2010 as an Economist at the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the Gas Export Department. In 2014, they transitioned to Samsung Electronics, where they served as a Caucasus Product Manager until 2015.

Following their time at Samsung Electronics, Javid joined Uber in 2015 and held several roles within the company. Javid began as an Operations and Logistics Manager for Baku and CIS, from May 2015 to January 2017. Javid then became an Operations and Logistics Manager for CIS/CEE, serving from February 2017 to February 2018. Javid's responsibilities expanded further when they assumed the role of Senior Operations & Logistics Manager - CEE Products Lead from March 2018 to January 2019. Javid'sfinal role at Uber was Senior Central Operations Manager from February 2019 to June 2020.

In 2020, Javid joined Rocket as the International Expansion Director, responsible for overseeing the company's expansion activities until March 2022. Javid then moved on to Humn in 2022, where they served as the General Manager from April 2022 to January 2023.

Most recently, Javid Movsumov joined Smiler in February 2023 as the VP of Supply Operations and Expansion.

Javid Movsumov completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics at Bilkent University from 2006 to 2010. Later, in 2012 and 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Bayes Business School.

In addition to their formal education, Javid Movsumov obtained a certification in "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" from Coursera Verified Certificates in February 2014.
