Sourav Sarkar

Sourav Sarkar is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Founding Partner in Engineering at Smiles.ai since March 2020, Sourav leverages technology and consumer insights to innovate healthcare delivery, particularly in dental care. Previous roles include Quantitative Research Intern at Enlightenment Research, where statistical tests for volatility estimators were developed, and Technical Lead at Narvar, where leadership in engineering reduced return rates. As Co-Founder and CTO of GoPigeon, Sourav successfully raised $1.5 million in funding, culminating in the company's acquisition by Narvar Inc. Earlier experience at Directi involved creating predictive models that enhanced revenue forecasting, and at Microsoft, a deployment framework was developed that significantly decreased deployment time. Sourav holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from Columbia University and a dual Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
