Iván González Gutiérrez

Iván González Gutiérrez is the current VP of Engineering at Smiletronix. Iván was previously the Head of Engineering at MOCA Platform from January 2020 to March 2021. Iván has also worked as a Lead Mobile Software Developer at MOCA Platform from January 2017 to January 2020.

González Gutiérrez has experience with a variety of tech stacks, including Kotlin, SpringBoot, jOOQ, AWS, Postgres, Java, Spring, Citus Data DB / AWS Redshift DB, AeroSpike, MySQL, AWS, Hibernate, VueJS / BackboneJS, JavaScript, Swift / Objective-C / Java 8.

During their time at Smiletronix, González Gutiérrez was able to re-implement the existing prototype backend with a superior architecture in just two months without blocking the rest of the team. Iván also started to lead the design and integrations of other parts of the system such as the mobile apps and AI inference systems. Additionally, they implemented a full CI/CD pipeline for the backend in Bitbucket.

At MOCA Platform, González Gutiérrez was responsible for hiring new engineers and leading the design and development of MOCA Platform's new features with the team. Iván was also actively involved in the product strategy of MOCA Platform.

Iván González Gutiérrez studied computer engineering at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and specialized in software engineering.

Iván González Gutiérrez reports to Yashar Faranjani, CEO & Co-Founder.
