Jean Lapointe

Jean Lapointe has worked in the engineering industry for over 25 years. Jean began their career in 1994 as an engineering intern at the Ministère des transports du Québec. In 1995, they joined Matrox as a Senior Software Developer. In 2013, they were hired as a Software Engineering Manager 1 at Ericsson and then moved to MediaKind Global in the same role. In 2019, they were promoted to Development Manager at AVEVA, and in 2021, they were appointed Director Of Engineering at Smiota.

Jean Lapointe obtained a Bachelor of Automated Production Engineering from \u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure in 1995. Prior to that, they obtained an Electronic Technician degree from Cegep Lionel Groulx in 1991. In addition, Lapointe holds a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in April 2014, and a First Aid in the Workplace certification from the Commission des normes, de l'\u00e9quit\u00e9, de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du travail (CNESST), obtained in March 2001.
