Stefan Chakarov is a seasoned marine engineering professional with extensive experience in technical management and vessel operations. Since December 2012, Stefan has served as Technical Superintendent at Smit Lamnalco, focusing on ASD tugs and DP2 MPV for the Coral Sul FLNG project, overseeing commissioning, sea trials, and warranty claims. Prior roles include Group Technical Superintendent, where responsibilities encompassed heavy docking, modifications, and DP reactivation, as well as Technical Superintendent managing maintenance and dry dockings for a fleet of vessels. Stefan's career began in January 1998 as a Marine Engineer, progressing to Chief Engineer, with experience on various vessel types such as NAVY ships, tankers, and offshore vessels. Stefan holds a Master's degree in Ships Machinery and Mechanisms from Naval Academy Varna, attained in 1998.
