Dr. Wasim Mohideen (Doc Waz)

Dr. Wasim Mohideen, also known as Doc Waz, has worked in various roles across healthcare and wellness industries since 2008. Dr. Wasim is currently the Chief Wellness Orchestrator at Smitch, responsible for overseeing care plans for holistic wellness. Prior to that, they founded Doc Crates, served as Director of Preventive and Wellness Medicine at Crates Wellness (Formerly Basil Wellness), and owned and wrote for Grub Waz, a food and wellness blog. Dr. Mohideen also co-founded Techmed Healthcare, which built software and standard operating procedures for hospitals in India, Nigeria, and Sri Lanka, and held senior resident and ward doctor/administrator roles at Apollo Hospitals. Dr. Wasim has also worked as a consultant in various roles, including in business planning at Techmed and medical affairs and services at Scriplogix. Dr. Wasim'sexpertise in integrative medicine and obesity has been utilized at Sixth Sense Alternative Medicine and as the Medical Head of Cashless at Vipul Med Corp.

Dr. Wasim Mohideen, commonly known as Doc Waz, has a diverse education history. Dr. Wasim began with completing their 12th Std at Don Bosco School in 2000 before going on to pursue MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, which they completed in 2005. In 2007, they received their MBA in Marketing from ICFAI Business School. In 2008, Dr. Mohideen pursued a few different degrees simultaneously - they earned an MD in Acupuncture from Open University of Sri Lanka, a DNB in Preventive Lifestyle and Family Medicine from the National Board of Medical Education, and a DFM in Family Medicine from Royal College of General Practitioners, London. Later, in 2017, they received an MRCGP [INT] in Medicine from RCGP UK. In 2014, they briefly attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology where they completed a course in Global Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Dr. Mohideen obtained a certification in MITx Entrepreneurship from MIT Sloan School of Management, although it is not specified when they obtained it.
