Katie Peacocke

Katie Peacocke, SHRM-SCP, has a solid background in human resources with a focus on leadership roles. Katie is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at Smith Douglas Homes, where they have been since September 2020. Previously, they served as the Human Resources Director at the same company from November 2019 to September 2020. Before joining Smith Douglas Homes, Katie worked at INAP starting in 2011. During their time at INAP, they held various HR positions, including HR Director from August 2017 to September 2019, HR Manager from June 2015 to August 2017, and HR Generalist from June 2011 to May 2015. Katie began their HR career at Emory University in 2008 as a Senior HR Assistant and Benefits Program Specialist, where they worked until August 2011.

Katie Peacocke, SHRM-SCP, holds an MBA in HR Management from Brenau University, which they earned from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at The University of Georgia, attending from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Katie has obtained two significant certifications. In July 2019, they obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM. More recently, in July 2023, they became a member of the SHRM Executive Network through obtaining SHRM Executive Network Membership.
