Shawn Kelly

Shawn Kelly has extensive experience in quality assurance and inspection within the construction and engineering sectors, holding positions as a CWI and Special Inspector since 2008. Currently employed at Smith-Emery since November 2017, Shawn focuses on QA for structural steel in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards. Previous roles include special inspection and quality control for RMA Group, Inc. and source surveillance inspection for WecTec and Columbia West Engineering, showcasing adeptness in visual inspection, material identification, and QA/QC processes. Shawn began a career in quality inspection after serving as an Infantry Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps from 1995 to 2002, demonstrating leadership and discipline. Shawn holds an A.A. in Liberal Arts from San Bernardino Community College.
