Luca Lazzaretto

Luca Lazzaretto has a strong background in information technology and security. Luca currently holds the position of Head of ICT at Smith Optics since 2023. Prior to that, Luca worked at Safilo as both Group Information Security Officer and Group IT Security Officer | Data Protection Officer starting in 2015. Luca also served as an IRM Manager at KPMG Italy from 2012 until 2015, and as a Security Consultant at Accenture from 2007 to 2012.

Luca Lazzaretto has a diverse education history with a focus on information technology and telecommunications engineering.

In 2000, Luca enrolled at Università degli Studi di Padova, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2004. Luca continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering from 2004 to 2007.

In 2018, Luca attended SDA Bocconi and obtained an Executive ICT degree in ICT Governance. Additionally, they pursued a Data Protection Officer Master program at Euroconference, specializing in Data Protection GDPR during the same year.

Most recently, Luca has been attending CUOA from 2021 to 2023, pursuing an ICT Executive Master degree in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Luca has obtained several certifications related to information security and IT management. Luca became a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) through iLEARN Innovative Learning in September 2021. In March 2015, they obtained the Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA. Furthermore, Luca received the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from RINA in August 2013. Additionally, they acquired the RSA Archer Admininistration certification from RSA in February 2013. Prior to this, Luca obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from Adfor in September 2012 and the BS 25999 Lead Auditor certification from BSi in June 2011.
