Rich Rahmig

Rich Rahmig possesses extensive experience in metallurgy and engineering, having held numerous roles in leading manufacturing companies. Currently serving as Plant Metallurgist at Smith & Wesson since June 2018, Rahmig manages the Metallurgical Department and oversees the internal Heat Treat Department. Prior experience includes tenure as Chief Metallurgist at Colt's Manufacturing Company, where responsibilities ranged from root cause analysis to managing technical specifications and supporting quality engineering. Rahmig's career also includes positions at US Repeating Arms, Danaher Tool Group, Eyelets For Industry, The Torrington Company, and Eaton, showcasing expertise in heat treatment processes, metallurgical laboratory management, and process engineering. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Science/Chemistry from Ohio University and Western Connecticut State University.
