Hans Nielsen

Hans joined the Smithereen team in 2011 as the Operations Manager and now is forging ahead as a North Territory Account Manager. Hans’ experience includes 27 years in the pest control industry. He also has experience in engineering sales and lab supervision. His extensive career in pest control includes proven success in business and consumer markets. He has a strong background in many specialty industries, especially 3rd party audited food manufacturing. Hans has had many roles in the industry from technician to quality control manager to sales and operation management which gives him the ability to solve problems from many different perspectives. Hans earned his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Biology. Continuing his education he has completed coursework in Pest Management Technology from Purdue University, American Institute of Baking (AIB) certification, and holds many IDPH Structural Pest Control licenses. Hans was an NFL placekicker for the Bears and a Big Ten placekicker while in college.
