Laura Daluga

Design Director at Smithers-Oasis

Laura Daluga has a rich and varied work experience in the floral industry. Laura began their career in 2004 at City Scents Floral and Home, where they served as Creative Direction and Design Room Lead until 2009. Laura then joined Anna Held Flower Shop and Cafe as Manager and Lead Floral Designer from 2011 to 2015. In 2014, Laura founded their own business, Department of Floristry, where they were the owner and principal. Laura showcased their extensive training in floral design and developed a signature style that combined timeless and modern elements. From 2017 to the present, Laura has held the role of Design Director at Smithers-Oasis Company. Recently, they also served as the General Manager at Flowers For Dreams, overseeing operations, management, and implementing educational programs. Laura currently works as a Floral Installation Specialist at fleurdetroit.

Laura Daluga obtained their education and certifications in the field of floral design. From 2008 to 2015, they attended the American Institute of Floral Designers and earned a Certification in Floral Design. In 2005, they also attended the Boerma Instituut, where they studied Floriculture/Floristry Operations and Management. Prior to their formal education in floral design, Laura Daluga completed their high school education at Libertyville High School from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained the title of Accredited Floral Designer from the American Institute of Floral Designers.
