Anne Sherod is an experienced professional in food safety and continuous improvement with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Continuous Improvement Manager at Smithfield Foods since August 2015, Anne has held multiple roles within the company, including IT Strategy and Delivery Manager for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and FSQA. Prior to Smithfield Foods, Anne served as Director of Food Safety at The Acheson Group and held positions at Milk Specialties Company, Target, and The Schwan Food Company, leading food safety and quality initiatives. Additionally, Anne has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor in Food Microbiology at Southwest Minnesota State University. Educational credentials include a PhD in Animal Sciences from South Dakota State University, a Master of Science in Food Safety from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from South Dakota State University.
