Leon Hutton

Leon Hutton is an experienced accounting professional and educator with a diverse background in both academia and financial management. Currently serving as an Accounting Manager at the Smithsonian Institution since September 2022, Leon has also been an Adjunct Professor at The Catholic University of America and the University of Virginia since 2014 and 2008, respectively, where instruction focuses on accounting, budgeting, and finance for both graduate and undergraduate students. Previous roles include Deputy Division Chief in the Financial Management Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Deputy Director of Performance and Resource Management at the Defense Acquisition University. Leon possesses extensive academic credentials, including a DBA in Accounting from Capella University and certifications in Business Analytics from The Wharton School.
