Rick H. Lee

Rick H. Lee, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center since August 2023. Prior to this role, Rick worked at Cornell University as the Senior Associate Director of Academic Programs at the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies from August 2021 to July 2023. Earlier in his career, Rick accumulated extensive experience at Rutgers University from September 1997 to August 2021, where responsibilities included Director of Programs and Partnerships at Rutgers Global, Coordinator of Asian American Studies Programming in the Department of American Studies, Instructor in the School of Arts and Sciences, and Associate Director of the Tyler Clementi Center, alongside completing graduate studies. Rick holds a Ph.D. and an MA from Rutgers University, and an MA and BA from the University of Alberta.
